Particulate matter Collection

For sampling particulate matter PM10 or PM2,5 according to EN 12341:2014

The low and medium volume samplers LVS and MVS collect fine particulate matter on sampling filters according to EN 12341:2014 (PM10 and PM2,5). For this purpose, a vacuum pump draws in ambient air, and the sampler fractionates the airborne fine particles in a sampling inlet.

The air containing the desired fine particulate fraction then passes through the filter, where the particles are collected and made available for subsequent gravimetric assessment or analysis. The volumetric flow rate is measured with an orifice plate and electronically adjusted with an accuracy of ≤ 2%.

Types: LVS 3.1 (Low Volume Sampler) / MVS 6.1 (Medium Volume Sampler)

The PNS DM consists of a low/medium volume sampler (LVS or MVS) and a filter changer with intake tube and sampling inlet. It collects fine particulate matter on sampling filters according to EN 12341:2014 (PM10 and PM2,5).

For this purpose, a vacuum pump draws in ambient air, and the system fractionates the airborne particles in a sampling inlet. The air containing the desired fine particulate fraction then passes through the filter, where the particles are collected and made available for subsequent gravimetric assessment or analysis.

The automatic filter changer with Geneva drive and two parallel filter magazines facilitates sequential series of up to 18 or 24 sampling cycles. The volumetric flow rate is measured with an orifice plate and electronically adjusted with an accuracy of ≤ 2%.

The PNS T-DM combines a low / medium volume sampler (LVS or MVS) and a filter changer in a stainless steel cabinet.

The instrument can work with any sampling inlet (PM10, PM2.5, PM1 ) within the operating flow rate range 0.8 ÷ 2.5 m³/h, on two distinct independent channels

Temperature control of the air flow through one or both the sampling lines, in order to minimize volatile material losses (optional feature)

Cooling system for the sampled filters Unloader temperature to assure samples stability (optional feature)

Sampling on ø 47mm filter membranes, exploitable for further analysis
Completely automatic management of the sampling quality controls
On line monitoring of all parameters characterizing the sampling process, with diagnostic warnings of possible anomalies

Sampling data storage on internal buffer
Local control with RS232 serial interface.
Complete remote instrumental control via Modem/GSM. Automatic SMS generation for diagnostic warnings

The high volume air sampler TSP is used to determine the concentration of total suspended particles or can be used to determine the identity of the particles.
